4/6/2005 - P.S. I was very sorry to learn Glenn Garrison had passed. I loved Glenn: he sat behind me in 5th grade and was just a sweetie. I remember he broke his front tooth at recess and sat at his desk the rest of the day flipping it over and over. I couldn't believe he wasn't in pain!

4/6/2005 - Glenn was a really nice guy, a couple of years older than I, but never exhibiting any superior attitude as some do. Glenn always had a wonderful smile to share, exactly as you see in his photograph above, and it brightened the atmosphere of every place he went, I'm sure.

One day I was walking down Washington Lane towards Germantown Ave. probably on my way to Jenks, not sure. But Glenn, who lived in the area saw me and walked with me for a while, using the opportunity to critique my wardrobe. I was wearing a shirt and tie and jacket for some event that was going to occur.

Glenn, was both complimentary and honest in his examination of my clothing. Encouragingly, and primarily he did say that I was "clean". (This was very assuring to me as Glenn was a couple of classes ahead of me). However, in all honesty he advised me that, "but, the Georgia Boots are played (out)". Yes, there was a model of shoe out at the time called "Georgia Boots" and apparently I had clung to that fashion a bit too long in Glenn's estimation. Hey, I appreciated the advice :)

Fair winds and following seas, dear classmate. And you remain a part of and live in these joyful memories we have.
